Cllr John Potter on Lightfoot Lane

Make Lightfoot Lane Pedestrian Safe

There are thousands of new homes being built in North West Preston, however Lightfoot Lane remains unsafe for pedestrians. A new footpath was installed near the Walker Lane footpath but a vital section of pavement is still missing. Residents trying to get to Harris Primary school, Preston Grasshoppers or the new shops currently have no safe way to walk without taking a massive detour or crossing the very busy Lightfoot Lane several times. This is unacceptable, and Lancashire County Council Highways acknowledge it needs fixing but have yet to confirm a date or the funding for it. Please sign our petition to show your support for our campaign for Lightfoot Lane to be made safe for pedestrians.
